Boat Maintenance April 2008

Hogmanay

During winter (October to March) Sunday training takes place in Victoria Dock, Dundee between 11.00 and 16.00

As well as working on board North Carr, other vessels may be deployed for boathandling practise. Training on Sundays has an emphasis on learning practical skills for effective maintenance of different types of craft.

Because our members do all the maintenance on the vessels ourselves we have to give this the highest priority. The experience that trainees gain from this work is invaluable and this kind of knowledge cannot be learned from a book or in a classroom.
