Boat Maintenance April 2008

Hogmanay

The decision was made to work on Marigot at Davy Anderson's slipway, as we reckoned it would take 3-4 weeks to complete all the work required below the waterline and to repaint her hull. This meant going up on the slip as night fell to get the best tide. A good turnout of members was essential and each had specific tasks to perform. She had to be positioned exactly the right distance up the slipway and the distance off the wall was also critical so that she would lean on her fenders at the correct angle as the tide fell.
